I am feeling completely out of sorts right now. I have been for weeks.
I cannot seem to keep a thought in my head for more than five minutes.
I forget what I am doing, while I am doing it.
I feel fogged.
I want to sleep but then lie awake for hours.
I make mental to-do lists but promptly forget them the moment I get near my computer or other workspace.
I have an almost constant headache and a sort of dizzy feeling most of the time.
I am generally grouchy.
I feel literally exhausted after just a short walk.
This is not normal and not even an exhaustive list because I can't concentrate on this anymore... Ugh - I am a mess.

Surfer Girl
I am a little obsessed with surfing the web. I find so many interesting obscure sites, I have even registered a url name that could eventually be used for sharing all of my finds. Since I am not quite that ambitious yet, I think I will just share a few here.
This week, in good January clean-up fashion, I have been perusing home design blogs and sites. Here are just a few I have enjoyed...
http://dosfamily.com/
On this site I am particularly intrigued by the author's "home-visit" slide shows - where she visits and photographs eclectic homes.

This one is a little more well-known but the right mix of funky and fresh to keep me interested.

Week of Jan 3 meals

Last year I began to implement a weekly cooking commitment for my kids, it failed more than it succeeded, mostly because I have to have my ducks-in-a-row in order for it to happen. On this most productive week of the year, I am going to start this again.
A strategy I am using to be accountable to myself is to write this down and put it out to the world. Here are the meals for this week and the assignment for each kiddo.
Sunday - Mom
Chicken in cream sauce over spaghetti, broccoli
Monday - Jacob
Chili, Salad
Tuesday - Dad
Tuna Tetrazinni, peas & corn
Wednesday - Kyra
Lasagna, Salad and Bread
Thursday - Mom
Tacos, beans, salad
Friday - Grady
Homemade Pizzas, mixed veggies
Saturday - make your own dinner night
Leftovers and such
Ready, Set, Go...
Wish me luck.
Are we really going to try this again?
I have tried, in vain apparently, to start a blog so many times I have stopped counting. So I finally decided this one will not have much of a focus but will just be a place to write. To write about family, about the things I am thinking, about life. I am telling myself that if I could just get into the habit I can accomplish my more specific goals regarding writing a wildly popular daily missive about toe jam.
